I'm talking because of a system failure. I think a few years ago it was like a week and it drove me friggin crazy. I dunno I can't deal with it. I have 2 pc's and one is dead in the water right now. Even that is bugging me beyond belief. I like troubleshooting but this is the worst system crash that I have experienced so far. So, share your horror stories here.

I went to Maine with a couple of friends for two weeks. Two weeks without email, internet comics, forums like these, tech news. The world simply stopped spinning. My god! The nightmares! Smile

I recall now, it was my power supply that went. Took me a while to replace it for whatever reason.

Here's the fix to all your crashing woes.

Format and reinstall from scratch, then as soon as you've got it set up, backup up your entire hard drive. That way, the next time it screws up or crashes, you can just format and put the old copy on rather than having to go through the whole set up process again. Cool

P.S. I can't remember how long I've been without my machine...

The longest I ever went without using my computer was two years. It was actually my family's computer and we knew almost nothing about viruses and bad nasty stuff from the internet. Everyday the computer seemed to slooooooww down and our internet seem to be properly disfuctional. Our internet address bar keep showing aboutblank as our home page and we could not remove it. Then the computer froze up AND you could not manually shut down the computer! So the only choice was to pull the power plug. A few days went by and you could turn on the computer but it kept freezing up so their was NO WAY to use it. So my mother took the computer to a technical shop and we found out shocking news. Our computer had over 700 viruses and over 300 trojan horses! Pretty scary huh? But later on we got the computer fixed, put a fire wall on it, and it seemed to work back to normal. Until it caught another nasty virus. So we just threw the damn thing away and got a new one.
