Here is my take on the famous All Bonds Patch.

Download patch: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=LN59E3XZ
Download .rar containing all the textures and portraits: http://www.rarhost.com/download-wcuclk.html

It isn't an "official" release since I find the patched .rom rather unstable. But still, I'd love to hear from you, tell me how playable you find it.

My first priority wasn't to make it perfectly believable, just "technically believable." The faces are rather well aligned but obviously not perfectly recognizable. One of Goldeneye's greatest assets, I believe, is it's comedy value. You never feel bad killing someone if they fall to the ground with a silly grin on their face. And what is more terrifying than being smacked by someone that is actually looking the other way?

If you have seen the movies, you should be able to tell them apart, if you still can't, well, do it yourself. In the attached .rar you will find all the textures and information you need, you are most welcome to make your own edits.

Other than the crashing, the portraits really annoy me. It would be pleasant to know of a graphic plug in that can show them properly. Right now, I don't know if they show up correctly in game, but since no portraits do, I'll let it be for now.

Enjoy!

Wowzers, those turned out marvelously! Very Happy
The Moore and Connery, especially. Sir Connery looks pissed as hell. The Dalton also looks really well done, as does Lazenby. It's nice to see that you've included a Craig, even though I'm not a huge fan of him. As for the eyes, you could always tweak them, so that they look a little straighter. That only seems to affect Craig and Lazenby, though. But wow, these are incredibly well done. Amazing work, Monkeyface. Smile

Edit:....wowzers! Razz

That's great stuff! Can I release it on the goldeneyevault. I love how you even added pictures for them in the multi menu. OK, it's randomly crashing after 30 seconds, this is the same bug Wreck identified. Do we have any idea why this is happening?

That stopped happening to me in the newest beta, whatever it was it seems to have been fixed.

OK, it must be Zoinkity's patch to fix texture hits. We need to take that patch and undo those 4 locations. I'll check it out tonight.

Probably because Rare left him out in the first place.

Thank you! You're very much correct about the eyes, Wreck, and I'm working on it now. Also, thank you SubDrag, the GE-editor is the only thing that made me even consider this. So, thank you, really.

It would be an honour to have it on the goldeneyevault, but first I'd like to update it once more. I'm fixing small bits and parts, I'm also changing skin tones some, so that they will match up better with their bodies and other characters. Also, it would be great if you could give the .rar a link in there, to help the community some. The .rar will also be updated, I will post when everything is finished.

If you know anything about the crashing it would be very helpful, the textures will still be here for you to use if you know what to do. One more thing, I'm looking for better portraits, similar to the ones in the actual game. Bond caressing his gun, you understand.

You requested some character photos so I cranked these out. Since they're all Bond, you could use them for the menu screen too if you'd like. You'll have to convert them to bitmap(16). Here they are and how I'd like the menu screen to look.

Nice work griff_ted_alliaz, and thank you for your assistance! I'm afraid though that it's not exactly what I had in mind. Those pictures has much more dramatic lighting and not as "neutral" poses as the original pictures. It would fit for an upgrade, with better models and improved textures but they would stick out too much with the rest. Maybe it would fit for the Xbox-upgrade or something similar.

Here is an upgrade from my previous photos, they are very photoshopped, since neither Lazenby nor Craig could be found in "neutral-half-face-room-lighting-caressing-gun" photographs.

They will probably get one or two more overhauls before I'm done.

Also, I recently found out about the original "All-bonds" textures in the actual game, and will be using those instead. That means that I will have to match up all the textures again, redo it.

In Zoinikitys patch the tuxedo is loaded each time with a different texture, I would love to do that, so that I can give Craig and Lazenby customized tuxedos. Is that possible to do with GE-editor?

I don't really know what you mean about "neutral poses." I can understand that the Craig one has low-key lighting but I tried to tone that down with the contrast. I think his complements Brosnan's though since it's a 3/4 profile shot too. You're not going to find better ones than those.(especially the Lazenby). But if you want some unnatural-looking Frankensteinesque Photoshopped ones that have cartoon bodies, by all means. Maybe Tigerpaw can use em since he was pretty far along with the All Bonds patch using the original textures you just found out about.

Haha, the Lazenby will be replaced by that photo. But the Frankensteinesque Craig will remain if not another photo is found. Lazenby got his body from Brosnan, but since I haven't borrowed parts from another human to make Craig, or painted anything, it's unfair to label him as cartoony or Frankensteinesque. Tigerpaw hasn't posted in that thread for some days now, if he returns we can help each other, and maybe I'll finish my version instead. But comparing my textures to the Rare ones, my aren't very good, I have much to learn.

The only obstacle really, is the head models. They are not made for the textures. Will there be a way to export/import models, and change them? That would be very interesting. Imagine porting low-poly Half-life 2 models into Goldeneye! Or the other way around.

I didn't mean to be so harsh. I know it's just constructive criticism. I can see your point about Craig being more of an art shot. Maybe spend some time altering the contrast of the face independently from the body(I wanted the tux to be black). I really like that photo and I think it works well with the other Brosnan one. You're not gonna find another one of Craig "caressing" the gun unless they release some promo art for Quantum of Solace soon. I even tried to take a screenshot from Casino where Vesper hands him his gun in the elevator.

Anyway, I think modelling is the whole issue. That's gotta be the holdup for Tigerpaw. I think this shouldn't be a rush-job. This is a difficult task and thus very elusive. If I hadn't seen your screenshots I woulda thought you were full of it. But I think the modelling is the most important. Can you use 3d Max? Hey, in the meantime though, submit what you got so we can play with all Bonds. Look at dragonbrethen's profile pic to see what Connery should look like. I'm not sure if there are any in-game photos of Dalton or Moore.
