Thanks to the extremist for posting about this. I had no idea! This is quite funny news really. What's happening to EA? Man, let's look at the bond titles and the lack of success they had with EA. I'm sure it meant huge losses for them especially after forking over for the bond license. Really, Activision will prove whether or not people give a crap about Bond. Was it the GoldenEye release that made the makers think, wow, we can't lose with this! HA! I'm thinking Sam Fischer of Splinter Cell fame is much more of a gaming hero than Bond.
In summary though, this is a pretty big announcement. I'm looking forward to seeing if the bond license really is worthless. |

It is actually very funny because EA was in full production on the next bond game called Casino Royale based on its movie coming out in november. The worst is that, when Activision bought the liscence, their E3 booth was filled with Bond stuff with EA's booth was empty. EA must have been really mad because every year, EA only have Bond things to display at E3. Looks like they dont have much now. _________________

Pretty sad that is. I heard that because EA couldn't make the game deadline, they pulled the license from them saying EA broke the contract or something. Really, I just wonder how much power the license has over what kind of game EA could make and how long they had to make it. I don't lay the blame 100% on EA after reading some things lately. |

I guess we can't blame EA at 100% because they did bring some great James Bond games called Nightfire and Everything or Nothing. Now that Activision has their hands on the liscense, it will force them to create an outstanding James Bond game. Will we have another game as good and as memorable as Goldeneye. I am quite excited and cannot wait what Activision can do now that that they have the Bond Liscense. _________________
