Quote: | The woman, who has been jailed on suspicion of illegally accessing a computer and manipulating electronic data |
She wasn't charged with killing the guy's character (Actually, this makes it sound more like she simply deleted the character/account, but I'm not familiar with the game), despite what the headline says. Based on that working it sounds like this is the same charge she would've got if she used his computer and deleted important documents or something similar. It is pretty silly to press charges over a game though. |

It all sounds really messed up to me, virtual crime, cyber bulling, who cares? I would not care if some person from china started cussing me out, I think people are too soft and they claim that cyber bulling has effected them mentally. _________________ An Elevator from Earth; then to the Heavens...

The internet is serious business! |
On some accounts yes, like day trading on the stock market and creating a e-harmoney account lol! _________________ An Elevator from Earth; then to the Heavens...

Hacking is a crime and can get you a couple of decades in the dog house if you get caught. |
That was probably the real case. Articles on the internet, especially ones as short as that one was, only tell a fraction of the story and can easily use colorful wording to make the story sound worse.
Sorry, but I've gained a real disdain for journalism that doesn't tell a story as it actually happens. Instead, they tell the story in the way that's going to get them the most readers.
Still funny as hell to think about though, lol. _________________ "Inspiration strikes but once.. If you're forgetful, carry a pen." -Me |
