This has happened to me twice so far. Somehow while saving, the scale of the map gets reset to the defalut randomly. What i have been doing is saving then editing the 21990. Which is a pain to do everytime. But also since its scale is altered all the objects have to be scaled differently to match the correct size. So the question is, is there any way to modify the scale from the setup file or any file besides starting a new map and setting it or the 21990? |

I think a solution would be to Save as Project and set the scale manually in your levelmacros.ini file in your GEEditor directory. |

Additionally, if you are making a new map instead of making a new setup for one of the original ones, I suggest you model it using real life metric centimeters to be the map's units.
I don't know how extended this notion is.
I recently calculated it measuring some similar elements from the original levels and dividing them by the map scale.
I discovered that most doors from most levels with standard architecture (facility and archives, for example) measured roughly 100 units wide after scaling, which is 1 meter in units=centimeters.
Doors in my house are arround 70cm wide, and they do look a little narrower than GE's. They are probably like that to facilitate navigation trough the levels. If they were like mine you'd get stuck against walls far too often in the game so that's probably the reason they are 100wide instead of 70.
Doing this you can use a 1.0 scale and everything will fit perfectly. |
