Hey, i just got a gameshark from a friend and I'm having trouble with it. Since I know nothing about gamesharks I don't know whats going on. When i put it in and start my n64 the led displays a number 8, and nothing happens. My friend said that just about once every 100 attempts you will get the 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, countdown but the rest just display an 8. Whats going on? It's a gameshark pro v3.0.

Clean all the dust out of it first....try it after that
If it doesnt work, then your GameShark most likely doesnt work (I thinkz)

yeah its b0rked. But I got it free so whatever. Why are gamesharks so prone to breaking?
