My girlfriend's PC broke down a few months ago, and I want to fix it for her.

Here is what it looks like. I believe it's the Acer Veriton L410:

Power does go to the adapter as the green light on it lights up, so it's not the fuse in the plug. No lights turn on when the power button is pressed. Any theories? Thanks!

Possibly the power supply. Mine went out recently, although the power just reduced rather than going out completely.

I bought a new adapter, and it still doesn't work. Something to do with the motherboard perhaps?

Are you saying that this computer doesn't use an internal power supply?

This computer has the power connection of a laptop, if that makes sense. I'm not an expert when it comes to PC problems!

So it uses an external power pack like the Xbox 360?

Sounds like a power problem to me, probably something wrong with the power chords or something.

Well, considering this problem was from just over a year ago, it's probably safe to assume that the computer was either fixed or replaced. Wink Razz
