 |
|
We know that PD changed from the 1172 compression heading to 1173, but it is still capable of handling the original format in certain situations. I've tested out quite a few different file types, and here are my findings...
P~Z (props) : Load
G~Z (guns/gadgets) : In-Hand Loads, Menu Crashes
C~Z (characters) : Crash
Chead~Z (heads) : In-Level Loads, Menu Crashes
Usetup~Z (mission setups) : Briefing Loads, Stage Crashes
Ump_setup~Z (cs setups) : Crashes
L~X (texts) : Briefing Loads, Stage Crashes
bg_~_padsZ (pads) : Crashes
bg_~_tilesZ (clipping) : Crashes
Textures (images) : Load
It really isn't important, as we'd simply use 1173 in every situation, anyway. But it's neat to see that 1172 is still accepted, even if not for everything. _________________

So these are the origonal names of the files. I wounder what the texture filenames were, I don't think they would be hex numbers...

It's possible to work those out - somewhat - from the order of the textures and what they are. There's not much sense to doing so since you'd never be 100% right. |
