New Data Uplink discovery?

I haven't seen this anywhere else, so I thought I'd post this here.

If you use the Data Uplink in front of any door, it opens it! Don't get too excited though - it doesn't open locked doors. It's pretty much the same as pressing "B" in front of the doors.

Maybe at one point, there wasn't going to be a terminal nearby the door that needs unlocking, and using the Uplink on the door would have done the job.

Just thought I'd point this out!

Hmm, I didn't know that. They didn't put in any easter eggs where a locked door can be opened by using it, did they? That would've been pretty neat.

Not that I could tell. It also works on the maintenance hatch terminal.

A possibility could be just how they coded it. My theory is if you press "B" infront of the terminal, it says something like "access denied", but if you have the Uplink out, pressing "Z" does the same job as pressing "B", but because the Uplink is out it does the alternative message - "Access Granted". In other words, like an action block of somekind.

Don't know if that makes any sense - I tried my best to word it as best as I can! Very Happy
