Well, we played single screen. One on PC the other on a TV. N64 console vs. PC GoldenEye is quite different. Clarity, on the TV with PC power, you can see clearly across levels, such as Temple. Visually, the fog or haze effect lessens. It's quite astonishing and you can pull off kill that normally you can't.
I have ATI X800xl AIW card now, and the results were great. It was only 2 player, and regular console is fast with 2 players. Graphically though, it's no comparison. I think now is almost time for exclusive multipalyer GoldenEye powered by the PC. I'm limited time wise these days, but for testing purposes we may go with 3 player single screen multi. My buddy using the TV kept commenting how clear it was. We tried out Bunker i and some of the standard levels. The bottom line is, there were no glitches, it was basically PC replacing console. Difference being, of course number and ease of using GS codes and clarity/resolution. I strongly suggest anyone to give it a try. Video out card is essential obviously, but a worthy investment. Really makes me wonder, what can pj64 1.7 give us that isn't already possible? Framerate wise, I can't see improving GoldenEye. I don't have the latest and greatest processor either. Anyways, just letting you guys know how pumped I am about getting a full on multiplayer session with PC power. I will update on the progress. |

I have a new grahpics guard and it turns fine for Demension 64. _________________

I'm thinking that Project64 1.8 will be the ultimate emulator, and will allow flawless online GE multiplayer.
I'm thinking a bit too far ahead though. 1.7 isn't even out yet. _________________ Pure hand-drawn goodness. |
