Sometimes i need to switch around textures in the map when they are body textures or greyscale.
When i change these, save the rom and project then load it back up, they are still in the rom, but in a different place. (I have the locations written down)
Is there any way of the textures staying at the changed one? _________________ Also known as Spyster or Nyxem

Sorry, I'm not completely sure what it is that is happening. Would you be able to give me an example? A step-by-step explanation of what it is you're doing? Maybe that'll help to clear it up a little better and I can offer some advice. _________________

I see a greyscale texture on a wall that needs color.
I go into Room Positions and replacer the texture with a new one
I update the image tools for the vis ed, and then I replace the texture.
I save both ROm and project
Reload it, the texture reverted back.
And I haft to put it back to the same ID as last time. _________________ Also known as Spyster or Nyxem

I think when you make a change to a texture ID in Edit Room Positions mode, that you actually have to reexport the modified BG with room changes. I can't recall how to do that exactly, and I'm not sure if the PD side is capable. This is what I would recommend that you do...
In GE mode with the level open in the Visual window, figure out which textures you want to swap ID's. Write them down in notepad. When you know which new ID's you are going to put those textures at, add them to the list next to them. It'll look like this...
0010 0015
0382 0227
05EA 0061
Now, go into PD mode and load any level in Visual. Delete the portals and import all the level portals. Then, go to "Export Full Background File with Image Repl Map". It'll ask for a text file. Select the one you created to swap texture ID's. Follow the rest of the steps, I am sure you are familiar with those by now. When the map loads in, those textures will have successfully been changed. That should get you where you're going. _________________
