Don't think I've seen this before!

It seems that in the BETA version, each time the aim crosshair was highligting an option, a bleep sound was made

Great find, Kode-Z. Remember this video you posted two years ago?

Some of the footage in this new video can be seen in this older one. You'll also notice the same Russian lady can be heard in both videos. If I had to guess, I'd say Rare produced a teaser video with the Russian woman voiceover and placeholder sound effects, and clips from this teaser were used in both of these videos. All we need to do now is find the full, unedited version of Rare's original video.

Ha ha, nah it's not that

It's just that this game had so many small things we never knew about.

Like how both versions of the KF7 Soviet are available(The Ak47 and the ask 74u)

Only if we could some how get the model and textures of the AK-47 back and the menu beeps, footsteps, etc.

That voice-over woman's voice sounded REALLY cool. I wonder why they dropped it... (probably because of the price of large carts).

the voice over was not ingame, but part of a promo video.
There's some other video where it can be clearly heard.
In this one they just used that other video.

The presence of both KF7s is odd- but then, we never see the player actually switch between them. It's not inconceivable that Rare changed its model midway through recording this footage, rather than having two available models of the same gun.

It's odd that the beeps were removed, but I have an idea about the footsteps. In Perfect Dark, you make a different sound when walking on snow as opposed to a hard surface, so the engine must distinguish between different types of floors. If they couldn't work this into GoldenEye, it makes sense that it was removed. I don't know whether this was the case, I'm just speculating. It's also possible that it was never programmed in, and the sound was added for the video.

Here's some other oddities I noticed:

The Agent-level objectives for Facility. In the video, they are:
a. Gain entry to laboratory area
b. Contact double agent
c. Rendezvous with 006
d. Destroy tanks in bottling room

In the final, "Contact double agent" is only present on the Secret and 00 Agent difficulties. These are the final objectives, with changes marked in square brackets:
a. Gain entry to laboratory area
b. [Rendezvous with 006]
c. Destroy [all] tanks in bottling room
[d. Minimize scientist casualties]

There is also no next button on this page, meaning the objectives page was originally the last page of the mission file. In the final, the pages are ordered Objectives>Background>M Briefing>Q Branch>Moneypenny. In the video, the order is the same, but Objectives is last. Because the Background slide is first, it has the reconnaissance photo in the upper right corner.

The Background page has an extra paragraph in the final, warning you not to harm scientists. This was obviously added along with the "Minimize scientist casualties" objective.

Starting at 4:24 in the video, when the player passes the cursor over a mission, it cuts to show the intro for that mission. So, when he selects Silo, we see the Silo. When he selects Dam, we see the Dam. When he selects Jungle, we see the Cradle.

Huh. Confused

Of course it's just an editing mistake, but it's still pretty weird.

The mission select part really makes it look like they had a test copy. As many rumors about there being "beta carts" out there, this is the first time I've seen any footage that didn't look like it came straight from Rare. The other parts are definitely from that other trailer that was posted a while back.
