The woman is a terrific actress, who is often nominated for many different awards (Emmy, Golden Globe, Oscar). I highly doubt she's doing it just for the money. Heck, I can't even see them being paid all that much for it, anyway. I believe she just loves the character, and enjoys playing it as often as she can. For that, she gets my seal of approval.

I guess I am being harsh on her. I don't consider her a bad actor at all, but it is annoying that she's the ONLY one of the original cast who's playing her character.

Pfft, I guess I'm just sore that Nintendo have ruined this opportunity to deliver something on the same level as the original movie..

The more I'm seeing of this "GoldenEye" game, the less and less it feels like "GoldenEye". It could've been very easy to just alter the names of characters, change a few of the more iconic set designs, and present this as an entirely new Bond adventure. But, no. The name is only there to draw people in. I mean, how much do we discuss "Bloodstone" on here? Exactly. This may not be quite as fiendish as Electronic Arts' Rogue Agent, but it's not too far off. However, I won't be too negative about this. I haven't even gotten to play it, yet. We'll see in November whether or not this game is worthy of using the name it has been given.

Good point. No doubt in my mind that Activision's been quite successful in capturing our attention with the GE title.

To be honest I'm actually looking forward to Blood Stone. It's being developed by Bizarre Creations, who I've been a fan of since the Dreamcast days. And like the GE remake, it's being written by Bruce Feirstein, who wrote or co-wrote the screenplays for all of the Brosnan films, excluding Die Another Day.

For me, the most exciting part is that the music is being done by Richard Jacques, who did the music for Headhunter. Being as this is one of my favourite video game soundtracks of all time, I have high expectations for Blood Stone's music. Here's a couple standout tracks:

Back on topic, here's a preview of an interview with Martin Hollis, who designed the original GoldenEye.

He feels the same way I think many of us do- Activision is clearly using the GE name to drum up interest, and they don't care about the overall quality of the game because it'll sell anyway. But Eurocom probably are doing their best, and trying to be faithful to the original game. There's still hope it'll be a fun game, though probably not the best Wii FPS.

Why doesn't Cradle look like Cradle? Doesn't look anything like the Arecibo Observatory!

I'm actually more interested in seeing these brand new locations than those based on the movie version of GoldenEye. Everything else is so different, why not totally change up the scenary as well? They're going for a more modern, updated take on the story. Perhaps these new sets will be... Ah, hell. I gotta stop kidding myself. Rare's level design was top-notch. These new maps are probably going to be linear and repetitive, just like most FPS games out there. There's a chance that some areas might be fun to play in, but I really can't see them having the same realism and replayability that the original had. And considering how much times have changed and games have drastically improved looks and performance wise, that says so much for Rare and their attention to detail.

I actually called that one a while back, based on the concept art.
