I plan to write a few utilities to deconstruct Goldeneye's data from ROM, but I'm not sure where to start. I've seen people writing about offset 0x21990 in the ROM, and something about a compression method similar to gzip, but not enough info to start coding. The first thing I want to do is extract textures, but not using any existing tools. Does anybody know where I can find the technical info needed on the Goldeneye ROM? Any help is appreciated. |

you ask how to extract all kinds of information from a N64 ROM, for example extraction of wireframe, texture, tiles, graphics? I think there are different methods, but I think each one is different for each rom, you can search other forums methods that were used in other rom, I think this will be particularly difficult to sort each method and make it all work. I have an alternative level for mario kart 64 rom him, the problem is not how they created that level without specific editor for this game? if so it asks Radorn, you intend to create any editor or publisher alternative wish you luck. few games are those with an editor. |

Use the textures from the editor - it's extremely difficult to extract them, and files are available there too. |
