I figured this was the right place to put this, so if it needs to be moved. Go ahead.
On-to topic. A few months ago I was able to hook up my audio cable (The cable that comes with monitors with Integrated Speakers) to my amp to the recording input and be able to record over songs and listen to myself play as well. (Guitar). Well, now whenever I try that, I just get this TERRIBLE static that makes me rip my headphones off. I'm not even recording. It's just playing out through the headphones (Which it's supposed to do) but displaying static. I think it's the problem with the chord alone. I've tried it on 3 different computers and I still get the same results, and I've looked all over and have found no answers. So, I was just wandering if you guys knew what was wrong? _________________

Can't say for sure, but I had this same problem with just my guitar cord. It usually just lays on the floor and everyone is stepping on it. Noticed that always when I shaked the guitar the amp started to make this annoying effect. The cord was damaged from the amp side.
You probably do have a different problem, but I know how annoying this sound can be.
