....in the level G5 Building?
Before opening the safe I like to lace the joint with N-bombs but they ain't there. Either a crafty employee has half-inched them to get some practice in or something about the way that I did the previous level (which I haven't played for yonks so cannot remember) has made them not appear. |

I think they only appear if you put the mine on the 3rd floor in Chicago. _________________

They wont trigger unless you bomb the wall on the top floor in Chicago.
Do actually anyone know how this works? Dont remember GE having anything like this? Wasn't there one guy in A51 also that could be killed in the first part, but if you dont he will be in the second mission?
This would make possible to create alternative endings to the game depending what you have triggered in the previous missions. |

It sets and unsets values in EEPROM, via action blocks. |

Yes, it's the bloke who's messing with the grounded flying thing inside the gates. There are other things you can do in one level that affect the next level, such as:
**** Spoilers follow (I can't work out the codes for hidden text on this forum, is it possible? ****
The ones I can remember are:
In Chicago, where you place the mine determines where you can exit from the next level (G5 Building) - the lower exit allows you to finish the level a little quicker, but the upper exit gives you the N-Bombs.
In Area 52: Escape, if you let Jonathon escape with Elvis, instead of you, then Jonathon is in the Carrington Institute to help you when the Skedar attack.
You can start the Air Force One level in either of two places, depending on where you boarded the plane in the previous level (Air Base).
If you release the hover-bike in Air Force One, then it's on the ground for you to use in Crash Sight.
It really is amazing both how much Rare managed to cram into one 32MB N64 cartridge, and how far ahead of it's time PD really is. An utterly superb game. |
