|
|
Olllo here:
after the recent death of one of the best Goldneye rivals Oldyz & i ever had,
the unfortunate necessity of the use of win7 laptops -
and other junk
for now i'm stuck with an ancient problem for an ancient win98\DOS machine:
using the adaptoid in windows 98 and its keymapping software i can use the analogue stick as the joystick in DOS games like Dukenukem3D --
heck you can use 2 n64 controllers and play duke 3d with 2 analogues
so far so good
Unfortunately i dont have access to my adaptoids, and have to do with the XBOX 1´s controllers, but the problem is, i have not found a keymapping program that allows me to use the analogues as joysticks under DOS.
the only option is to use ONE analogue as a mouse.
(joytokey) (control mk)
the best thing would be to re-write the adaptoid keymapping program to work beyond n64 controllers, but that might be too hard.
that, or find a program that allows modern control sticks to function as ancient Yaxis Xaxis joysticks
