i heard on a site that the ps3 will have 60gb hard drive and linux! and yet... it is $700...
who is honestly going to buy it immediatly after launch?

there is a premium and a core pack. premium is close to 700.

The basic (core) one is $499 and the premium is $599.

I'm going to wait for a price drop. As for the linux operating system on it, there isn't any info on what it will be capable to do on the ps3. Most likely for web browsing like the psp but it might become dangerous if you open your console towards the world wide web.
