I'm just wondering if it's possible to convert a multi-lined GS code into a stackable (meaning you can patch more than once) IPS or XDelta file so that I can use fun GS codes on my 64drive with a ton of other games besides the ones that have been hacked the most. So this would mean that temporary RAM codes would need to affect the ROM somehow. Not sure if it's doable, but one time MultiplayerX made some permanent menu modification codes for GoldenEye and I think those affected the RAM permanently. It would be nice if a "good Samaritan" hacker or programmer could write up some kind of software with a simple menu that has a nice little "Convert GS codes to IPS" button. I believe SubDrag told me that only IPS were stackable and I'm not quite certain if you can have both an IPS and an XDelta file patched simultaneously on one ROM, but I don't see why not. This would make things better for GameSharking on your 64drive. Your lucky if you own one of these little gods.

(23:29:43) radorn: I don't understand what he's talking about
(23:29:59) SubDrag: i dont know but i think he wanted to put a GS below it
(23:30:05) radorn: you can
(23:30:14) SubDrag: oh you can?
(23:30:16) SubDrag: i thought you couldnt
(23:30:24) radorn: well, not "normally"
(23:30:29) SubDrag: ?
(23:30:32) radorn: you can do either 2 things
(23:31:14) radorn: upload rom through USB, making it a "normal cart" as long as it is powered
(23:31:23) radorn: and AR/GS will use it
(23:31:28) radorn: OR
(23:32:08) radorn: load a rom through menu, then plug USB, then power down N64 without removing usb power
(23:32:34) radorn: this second method has the advantage of allowing saves to be loaded
(23:33:01) radorn: only problem would be different CIC games
(23:33:19) radorn: since boot emulation doesn't stick through sessions
(23:33:24) radorn: it's a software thing
(23:33:30) radorn: but it can be worked arround
(23:35:51) radorn: say you want to load PD, a 6105 game, so, you go into the menu, load your game with the save file, plug usb into 64drive to mantain power, and then power down n64, remove 64drive, plug 6105 keycode enabled GS (you can either have it pre-set or set it now) stick 64drive on top, still with usb power and load
(23:35:56) radorn: it should work
(23:36:22) radorn: only thing I'm not so sure if it will work will be saving back to SD upon reset
(23:36:51) radorn: I think plugging USB causes hardware to reset or ignore the save writeback
(23:42:00) radorn: maybe if you plug it afterwards
(23:42:06) radorn: *unplug
(23:48:11) Commandant: heh you'd think he would wait for a response
(23:48:21) SPENCER__: heh
(23:48:59) SubDrag: he'll be back
...
(01:55:01) radorn: just confirmed you can load 64drive with AR as long as a ROM is already in it's RAM
