Seems that youtube doesn't like the colours very much and the video doesn't look as good as the original...
I've noticed some strange behaviour of sims when they collide with the vertical structure in the spiral ramp room. They get stuck and I don't know if they can scape from there (I killed before they could do anything ).
The new height for the railings in the little houses room feels better than the one I used. Seems that you also added some grey shading, right Wreck?
On a sidenote. I was able to fall from the map in Egyptian. It was in the stairs that connect the obelisk with the flooded basement. It only happened to me the first time and I wasn't able to replicate it after many attempts, so maybe I was very unlucky XD (and that's why there's no video of it). It happened when I was strafing left and moving forward against the left wall while going down that path. There are two slants, and I fell from the lower one.
PS: Now that GE:X 5a is out I can post this video. It shows an issue with the rooms vertical limit that is already fixed, but it's funny to see. |

Nice video, Sogun. Throwing together two classic beta features into one package. All Bonds battling it out in the Citadel.
Glad you like the modified railing height. I know you were concerned with the shadows not being exact, but you really can't tell a difference. Most multi maps don't even have as much attention to detail, so these shadows are really just a great extra to make the level standout. And yes, I did add a bit of shading to the railings. They felt as though they could use a little something to spruce them up a touch. White-white was a little too bright for the rest of the room.
I've also noticed some issues not only in the spiral ramp room, but the odd other place, as well. Sims are very complex, and they still have a few problems once in a while in other maps, too.
Hmm... I thought I raised the wall clipping up in those long stairwells of Egyptian. It is possible that you were crossing into another room, which doesn't have as tall of a ceiling. If it detected you as "out of room bounds", that clipping may not have been loaded in. More fun things about PD to worry about. _________________

Was just messing around one day and played a match, Arctic vs Jungle Commandos, but with Civilian 4's face (my favorite character).
This is such a sick patch, I'm glad you guys fused GE with PD, made it even more epic than it already is

Yea you guys have out done you're selves with two of the best FPS retro games combined to build a freakin ULTRA MAN BEAST of a game.

Play in Hi-Res mode to get rid of the bottom screen glitch. you'll find it in the options menus, just like you would if you were playing Perfect Dark. _________________ Twitch

I love this video. A really well put narration of the game. It looks official. Anything to bring in more interest and new players to the GEX scene is excellent imo. |
