Don't you guys think the zombie thing is being overdone like 80's hairbands played themselves right out of pop culture? No but seriously, love some zombie stuff....Resident Evil more because of it's intelligent storyline. I think they should put them in more creepy locations like " the woods " OR exotic jungle environments, etc. Hell even Alaska would be more interesting than always a METRO area , etc. How about a lab somewhere in the Amazons? Then a team of scientists and law enforcement are sent to check it out.
Anyway... QUESTION for Wreck: What is your zombie game of choice TODAY and why? Looking for a GREAT one _________________

I'm sorry bro but what you said was kind of stupid. You must have not played the first few ones. Yes the only thing good you said there was that The story line was well made. I know I must sound like a complete ass. _________________ www.youtube.com/gamerrey23 |

I guess you can say the whole zombie thing has been done many times before, but it's not like I enjoy every movie or game just because it has zombies in it, lol.
For movies, the 2 that I really like is Dawn of the Dead, and Shaun of the Dead . Also Dawn of the Dead and Resident Evil : Apocalypse were both filmed in Ontario, Canada in which I live. RE : Apocalypse was actually filmed in Toronto and they blow up our Metro City Hall at the end of the movie, lol So I guess I live in Raccoon City
As for the games, the 2 series featuring zombies that I personally like the best are Resident Evil (obviously) and L4D. I find L4D does take place is some in some more rural areas like forests, swamps, carnivals and some other unique settings. It does however feature more urban enviroments as well. It is not as scary as Resident Evil, but the game emphasizes good team work in order to survive hordes of zombies. Love the fact it supports split screen , couch co-op mode and you can play online with that person as well. _________________ www.YouTube.com/hab007GE |

oops...I keep forgetting I'm old and need to be more specific to my younger bro's . Zombie movies have been done TO DEATH in movies and in television in the past. They are only popular now because everyone got tired of vampires, werewolves, and other things. I think it's kind of silly actually to take zombies so seriously. Everything seems to run its COURSE and 5 years from now it will probably be mythology. The reason I believe this is all of the movies seem to be going towards greek mythology and/or comic superheroes.
When I said 80's hairbands MIST I guess you didn't catch it as an EXAMPLE in the sentence. Zombies have been popular since 1968 bro. I know that's hard to swallow when you are a young fellow. A LOT of sh*t has been around before I was born too. 1975 was the year I was born and in the 80's ZOMBIES blew up for about 7 years in pop culture. I was just saying the 80's hairband statement as an example. Hell.....aliens were HUGE in the 90's and if you follow the POLITICS of popular pop culture there haven't been very many alien sci fi movies compared to horror movies in the last 10-15 years. I am a filmmaker and I watch these things like a religion. lol
Just curious what would be the best DESIGNED zombie game TODAY. I know many people become HIGHLY defensive which I think is kind of funny. Everyone has different tastes you know. Mine is fantasy and action movies. I do apologize however if I pissed in anyones cheerios . _________________

I thought Zombieland was a fun and well made movie. Especially when Bill Murray accidentally offs himself. He's always a hero as his ghostbuster alter-ego and hasn't lost his charm and ability to make you laugh. _________________

I didn't really care too much for RE5. It's going the same way as the film series. Too much action, too much ammo, and no zombies. Just infected people running around, some with weapons. Still some neat boss enemies, of course. Good selection of bonus games in the Gold Edition, which added some more value to it.
I haven't even picked up 6, yet. No interest in Operation: Raccoon City, either. Probably going to get Revelations on either 3DS or PS3 at some point. Played a demo and it seemed decent. Mercenaries 3D was fun for a while. Might be even better playing co-op with a friend.
They really need to go back to the well and dig up some old school survival horror. Confined spaces, lack of ammunition and health items, hordes of slow moving zombies, and sequences that actually make you jump out of your seat while playing. There was literally nothing in 4 or 5 that startled me, but plenty in both 2 and 3. Where is the horror? They've shifted the series into a whole different genre. _________________

I must agree Resident Evil 4 was not scary, but more of an action type game. The game had its flaws but gotta admit it was probably the last good Resident Evil game since RE5 was just awful. I mean having a team mate by your side, killed it for me. And going though the levels, was just so boring that I could not handle it anymore and shut it off. Now I played some what of RE6. And the game is not scary but man, its filled with action all over the place. Not to happy that they gave Leon some facial hair. As for RE Revelations 3DS, I only played the demo release. And man I am impress by the fact that the game is scary at certain points of the level. The graphics are outstanding for the 3DS. And to be honest I never knew a simple 3DS can handle such graphics. And the gameplay, takes time to get used to though, but all well worth it in a long run. Plus its $19,99 I say what a steal that is. _________________ There totally nothing to read here. |

Supposedly the console ports of Revelations aren't as good as they should be. People just comment on how Jill's model seems to have been most improved, while the rest doesn't appear to have been touched at all. Might be worth just getting for the 3DS, where it looks nice and costs less. Besides, might give me some more use for that handheld. _________________

Yeah but,Jill went from a brown haired brunette to a blond.
That I don't like. Brown was better. Maybe cause there are not much blonds in the game? _________________ www.youtube.com/gamerrey23 |
