Hello.
The day after the demo version, I decided to purchase the full version, so yeah - everything is fine.
Then I came across the internet when I asked the best controls for speedrunning because I couldn't speedstrafe easily.
They said I have to use either Southpaw or Legacy (or both) in Advanced Control Options. So, I went to settings and there was no Advanced Controls options, and I looked in the other control settings aswell where you can change to 3 controls. So, I searched it up and there seems to be an update.
The problem is, how do you install the update? Or Manually if it doesn't work automatically.
I made a video of trying to find the settings:
Direct watchable: http://www.mediafire.com/watch/eysg3hzzbm75ydt/VID_20131009_124729.mp4
So yeah, everyone was saying I missed a lot of options.
And they told me the game asks you to update, but it either didn't or I missed it.
So, how do I get those extra options?
Thanks in advance. _________________ My stream channel: http://www.twitch.tv/speedruntrainer

Typically when you launch a game with an update available you get prompted to install that update right away. I'm surprised you aren't. Maybe there's a setting in the dashboard menus that controls whether or not that's the case. You could try downloading from XBLA again, but I remember having to update as soon as I downloaded it, so I assume the download is still for the original version.
Edit: Possibly a dumb question, but is your 360 connected to the internet? Obviously you won't be able to get the update without being online. |

I remember looking at that when I was borrowing an XBox - I live offline so couldn't find any way to do it. Frankly I felt the xBox controller just didn't seem to work with PD whereas the logitech one seemed to actually work better via emulation. It was kind of odd. _________________ No Mr. Bond, I expect you to be re-coded! |

Yes, I'm sure connected to the internet.
When the Xbox 360 starts up, it loads the settings and it will say the profile has signed in, and ofcourse it's the same I use for Perfect Dark.
And I saw someone else doing an update for PES2013 back a while ago so updates aren't disabled?
I even redownloaded the game but it didn't work either.
Google doesn't help me any further, even Rare or Microsoft websites.. Ofcourse, I can play this game, but there are way less settings.
I even asked people that has PD XBLA aswell and they are really surprised why I couldn't get this update, and I even showed it by video (The video I posted here) Maybe I need to finish the game first?
So, I really hope there is a solution to this 'strange behaviour' _________________ My stream channel: http://www.twitch.tv/speedruntrainer

I no longer have my Xbox, sold it a little while ago after it sat on the shelf for a years time. That game was a blast on that console and I will definitely miss it... I had a LOT of good Speedrun times that I'll never see again, and only recorded one (G5 Building 42s, eventually got in the 30's). I used a knock-off Xbox controller that was much, much sharper and better than the retail Xbox 360 controllers which allowed me to attain incredible times without changing any settings. _________________
