I looked into today how it works, since it's not in the text banks. Apparently they are very slightly encoded, in 39850 file.
The encoding scheme is simple. For the usernames, each digit is encoded as ascii + 0x9 * (digit slot + 1). Each password is ascii + 0x4 * (digit slot + 1)
The necklace is user: CDV780322 password: I8MOZYM8NDI85
No surprise. But interesting is the Rank 1, actually has casing that is different than shown.
User: EnTROpIcDeCAy Password: ZeRo-Tau
I suspect Rare was just going to have some contest, maybe first person to get necklace or rank 1, who knows, but still interesting the casing. |

Doesn't seem to be any functional sites that would allow this user and pass combo.
For a laugh, I inserted it into my (rather poorly designed and defunct) Perfect Dark page,,, it's the only page that has it functional! http://68.56.140.154/PD/login_form.php

I was trying to dig them up for the TCRF PD article a while back. No luck. User/pass doesn't work through archive.org, and the only mention of the pages I could find was on Detstar, and it's incredibly vague. |
