I kinda condensed everything into one favorites topic a while back but didn't ask what you liked about the game/movie. In the movie it was seeing Russia for the first time as I was only 13 or so when the movie came out. No tall skyscrapers, endless cold and winter gear.

I keep going back to the damn as my favorite level. It felt like you were really at a near-chilly damn on a mission to save your country. If you press up or down on the c button and look down as you jump, the damn sorta changes color to a red or pink as you fall. A nice effect.

The temple design was great for the time. There was some writing on the wall and a crash bandicoot like detstar mentioned.

You can also mention clothing too, I think Xenia wins in all categories, especially in the game.

Film
I think Famke Janssen put a lot into the character of Xenia. Even in the scenes where she is only a background player, she's doing something to stay in the role. One of my favourite parts is on the train. When they notice that Bond has positioned a tank on the railroad tracks, she says: "He's going to derail us". As she is delivering the line, Famke gives off the feeling that she's almost turned on at the thought of crashing. I'm not sure if that was written into the script, but it's an excellent touch.

The musical score was the last of its kind. From Tomorrow Never Dies onward, it's been much more orchestrated and elaborate. They've even brought in more dance and rock vibes to the themes. I actually quite like both the theme song and the track at the end of the film.

Pierce Brosnan. The best Bond actor to date. He's the very definition of cool. Each line of dialogue is planned out and delivered with the perfect amount of emotion for it to be both realistic, yet intriguing. Brosnan brought the fans back and restored their faith in the series.

Ourumov is a great character in his subtle little ways. His odd behaviour, slight twitching, shifty eyes, and his obvious drinking problem. The more I watch GoldenEye, the more I get the impression that the general is most certainly a drunken bastard.

Yeah she put more than just a good performance into this film. Razz Shocked Puuuuurrrr, makes a man wish he wasn't married. (love the wifey , but damn! this chickie is nice) I can look. Smile

The music SCORE from TND ON is one of the best homages to John Barry I have ever heard from the original Connery Bond's. The new Bond film Casino Royale is also sticking with David Arnold for this film as well since he's done such a fantastic job with the other one's. With credentials such as StarGate, Independence Day, The Musketeer, and Godzilla. Arnold has proven his right to score great films and add even more intensity to them through music.

I do have to agree with you on what you said about GoldenEye's score too Wreck. Eric Serra created some great cues for this film that even inspired the GAMES music!! If you'd like to hear two of Eric Serra's best scores listen to Bullet Proof Monk and The Professional. Wink
