The beta version is downloaded when you run BetaGrabberTool.exe in the GEEdit2 folder. The beta editor's file name is runwaysetupeditor.exe, should be in the same folder. _________________ Also known as Spyster or Nyxem

So instead of opening the V2 version. Open up Beta editor? So I do not have to download it again? |

Once you've used the beta grabber and successfully downloaded, you can run the beta editor. If you think it's good enough to overwrite your normal exe, you can click something like "Overwrite real one" or something in beta grabber, to then let them be identical. |

I do not follow. Where is that beta grabber? Nothing like that on the website. |

It installed along with the editor; it's in the start menu - run it as admin, if you have not given the editor folder full permissions in program files (or installed elsewhere is ok too). |

Is it the one with the blocks that says, "Get Latest Beta Editor"? |

Finally had the time to check and, I don't get it. I went to "Get Latest Beta editor" now it says. Update beta or copy beta to stable release. Am I even in the right place to fix the door problem? |

Here's a step by step on how to update the Editor:
http://i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z345/Sogunesp/betagrabbertooltutorial_zpsb3f188a0.png
0 - With the Editor closed (or it will fail when updating).
1 - Doubleclick on Bettagrabbertool.exe
2 - If it says "OUT OF DATE" in red then click on "Update beta" and it will start downloading it.
3 - When the progress bar finishes and the message changes to "Up to date" in green, close that window and open the updated Editor with "runwaysetupeditor.exe". If you are in Windows 7 or 8 be sure to open it as Admin and set compatibility to Windows XP (Service Pack 3). This exe contains both GE beta Editor and PD beta Editor (you only need to change mode after open it).
The "Copy beta to stable release" overwrites the Editor exes with the last beta, but I would use the runwaysetupeditor.exe and keep them unchanged just in case. |

There's a start menu shortcut you can use as well (make sure do admin/xp3 mode as sogun suggests though) called "Run Beta Editor" or something like that. |

I updated and now says up to date in green. I'm stuck in the 3 part with the runway.exe. I choose run as Admin and it opens the editor up. Is it supposed to do that? I also can't see or understand the window XP/Service pack 3. So, I hit a minor bump on the road. |

Ami, I managed to successfully update it. After you run as admin open up the "Beta Editor" everything was fixed for me. Even some texture issues I had in the past such as, not being able to tell guard direction and drone direction. I gotta start checking the updates more often. And everyone must keep there eyes open to find anymore small bugs.
Thanks for the fix SubDrag. _________________ www.youtube.com/gamerrey23 |
