Great!
QuaidShot wrote: | Maybe it´s better to porting the MI6 Level from TWINE 64 for the Bonus Level.
It was already done in some GoldenEye X Patch with the Labyrinth. But i believe the creator who did the porting is not here on the forum anymore. |
The MI6 level (from TWINE's single player campaign) was great! It's just a pity it wasn't longer and it's a shame it didn't have more random encounters, as the placement or sudden appearance of every enemy was scripted so when you get used to it, there are no surprise attacks to keep you on your toes.
TWINE is such an under-rated game. |

The more Ive studdied Vauxhall Cross the more I realise the wrongs in TWINE. That said, they wernt really copying MI6, it was just a resemblance, which in all fairness is good (albeit that the hole in Q's lab points the wrong direction, i.e. It doesnt point toward the Thames).
They got the Entrance kinda right (Marble) and M+MP's offices right (orangy-brown).
The textures used in the hallway between MP's room and Bonds down to the Situation room and Elevator Shaft are wrong.
Like the movie they should be grey felt and carpets.
The exact layout and dimentions used in DADay, while probably wrong to the real building, do fit and are correct enough for design.
TWINE had the idea of maps spot on as every floor has a map. (leads me to think they were using the same source as me).
I have a lot more info and hope to impress Wreck one day but Goldfinger takes a higher priority untill its release.

It always seems strange to me that a secret organisation like MI6 would have a publicly known headquarters.
It's like on Heroes, where Hiro builds a secret base, then sends out flyers so everyone will know where it is! |

It was a balance that was considered.
MI6 was originally elsewhere (Century House 1964 - 1994) but they feared attack because of all the glass and the Official acknowlagement by the Government of MI6's existance as part of the Intelligence Services Act 1994.
They decided to upgrade the security and so built Vauxhall Cross which was originally intended to house both MI6 & MI5, MI5 however got moved.
Both sides of the argument sounded vindication in 2000 when the IRA launched an RPG at the building from the bridge.
Those advocating secrecy said it would never of happened had people not know the location.
Those advocating Security say they were proven right to upgrade defences as MI6's location was always known.

That would be a great idea! Especially if there was falling snow to make the level feel more 'alive'. |

Who forgot about Barry Nelson? He also played as James Bond one time, back in the 1954 in Casino Royale. |

Ohhh... my... god.... DONT mention those 2 peices of crap, They are definatly NOT cannon and therefor would not get a look in.
The only non-Eon movie I personally do include in the 'Bond' Franchise is NSNA although it was on not that long ago and much worse than Id remembered.
I include it because it gives Connery the same number as Moore.

Have you guys thought of implementing things from other Bond games?
For example, in "Everything or Nothing," you're able to unlock a cheat for the Platinum Gun, which looks like the Golden Gun, although it shoots bullets that explode on impact.
While not exactly "GoldenEye," things like this pulled from other Brosnan games would be interesting to see (and would help enrich the Bond experience even more), although I can see why the idea might not sit well with die-hard GoldenEye fans. _________________ Missions:
