 |
|
If anybody who uses an emulator knows, Perfect Dark cannot render skies.
In Project 64 1.6, this is not an issue, as the sky is just rendered black. But on almost any other emulator, the sky gives off the Halls of Mirrors effect from Doom. (If you don't know. The HOM effect is when the last frame is copied into the empty void beyond the skybox and background, making a mess for your eyes)
I was wondering, if the GE X cloudless patches remove this effect, could the same be done to PD?
Just a question. As I want to Play PD on 1964 Ultrafast, and the Halls of Mirrors effect is starting to annoy me. I'm using Jabo 1.61 if you're wondering.
Lovely sky at Carrington's Villa, eh? _________________ This is a signature, why did you read this? |

All you need to do is in 39850, in Stage Options, bottom right, every sky you see, change the last digit, from 01, to 00 (to disable clouds) if it was at 01. |

Thanks, will do.
I may also fiddle around with graphics plugins to get one where the skybox appears, somehow. _________________ This is a signature, why did you read this? |

Download the 1.6.1 plugins, it enables clouds. |

I'm already using Jabo direct 1.6.1, it does not render the clouds in PD. But it works find for GE.
Either way, found out that Rice works for rendering the sky. The Camspy seems to be having issues, though. _________________ This is a signature, why did you read this? |

Oh sorry, I was under the impression it did it for both. There's also Glide's plugin, which is more intensive, but is probably one of the best plugins out there.

The wrapper goes where the emulator's EXE is, and the plugin files goes in the plugin folder. |
