Bah, what else can they say? I mean look at the Xbox 360 overheating! If does become a problem then what a bigtime disaster. Throw in the possibility of Blue Ray going the way of Beta and you have a double dose.

The more processing power you force a system to use, the higher the possibility will be that it could overheat. With the race to build the best gaming console, these machines will require extensive testing before their release. However, most companies would rather make money now, then solve the problem later. Deny the reports, recall their systems, claim to be upgrading something totally unrelated, and release them back into the public. What do they care? So long as they get the dollar, they'll keep on smiling. Overheating: perhaps that's the bang for your buck?

What's this about the Blue Ray?

with all these new consoles, all the modders are going to slip away into nothing. these new consoles are too small, and offer very little area for expansion. thats why the gamecube was never modded. it was too small, so therefore there was NO expansion. the most you could do is paint it, and add lights. even then, there was a limit of like... 18 leds running off of different power sources. i really hope that the ps3 does not over heat... and more importantly, that the wii doesnt over heat. i heard that sony is only releasing a couple thousand systems, and that was it. any news on this?

It's not surprising...besides the ps3 has an internal power block which could potentially cause overheating.

The Wii is designed to be energy efficient. No overheating there. Cool
