Hello, I'm new to xdelta patching and I have installed the goldeneye setup editor and I have no clue on how to apply the patch to a 1.1 copy of a perfect dark ROM. Is there an ACTUAL tutorial that provides a descriptive way to do this and not one that just says "patch it and you're done"? Thanks in advance.

Goldeneye X shows up as a zipped folder and therefore does not show up. As in, when I go to my downloads and check for it, it's not there, only folders from other unrelated downloads appear.

It's inside the zip, look for an xdelta file.

I know it's in the zip file. I can't drag it out because of some error code 0x80004005.

So I redownloaded it and dragged it out. It worked, put the input, then did the rest of the steps flawlessly. Tried to run the output with my 1964 emulator. Did not appear on the screen, and didn't appear on the desktop when I tried to open the ROM.

Very glad to hear you got everything working. It can be a little tricky getting all the steps down, but once you know how, you shouldn't have any troubles next time you want to patch a GoldenEye or Perfect Dark ROM.

Welcome to the message boards, and enjoy! Smile
