Transparency question

The model i'm importing uses this texture:

I can't replace the transparent part with black because then the glasses will be made transparent as well. What color should i use? I was going to use red but i heard that the color will bleed.

Set to red, import, edit palette to change red to black, flag as transparency

Thanks that worked. Now i have another issue where the texture is getting cut off.

That is secondary, it masks on top of primary. Try moving the glasses closer to the face.

Secondary does NOT mean decal.

If a triangle is far enough from another triangle, the Z-buffer should be able to cope and correctly order.
If a triangle is too close to another or is co-planner then you need to enable decal ("Top Flag" in PG's Replace Texture dialog on left)
