I'm not sure if anyone was aware of this but even with All Guns and Infinite Ammo cheats on while playing Chicago, Remote Mines are at 0 I'm assuming It's because one of the objectives involves a remote mine so they were set to 0 to prevent any issues?

Indeed. There are little hardcodes in the PD Game Configuration under Weapon Stats 2 that affect cheats for certain stage IDs. There's also one for the Timed Mine in Air Force One. You can also change the ammo type themselves to not listen to those hardcodings.

Chicago requires you collect the remote mine, so it is possible they didn't want to break sequence and let players use mines freely. Action block testing for thrown items can be tricky, too. If attached, if ammo below amount, if no longer attached, etc. This is a good way to get around many checks.

Am I crazy, or doesn't Surface ii do something like this for your remote mine? They tried to make this act like a longer fuse timed mine, by setting a timer once attached to the helicopter, and not giving the player the detonator. Maybe it is just detecting your first thrown mine. I can't recall.

GE doesn't subvert the ammo cheat, it just says the mine went inactive because it was incorrectly placed. Though, you can use the remote mines without failing the objective by quick-detonating them before they land on anything.

Yeah, I usually blow up my mine on purpose before entering the bunker. Not sure why. Probably because you weren't supposed to. Gamers seem to enjoy doing things the developers didn't think you could or expect you to do.

ahh I knew there were hard coded things that effected stuff in game but I didn't realise those were already in the editor, cool.

Can I be more broad based about why and how things are created.

-The creators intent and/or creativity.

Do other people find things outside of the intended design. Yes.

-What happens when there's no solution and no one created it.

A: That sounds like a paradox. I don't think Goldeneye and Perfect Dark are designed in a way that can't be found out. If something weird goes on it might come from an outside influence or technical error.

I don't need to know too much to beat games.
