|
|
I'd like to announce an English translation for the black sheep of the Dezaemon series, the N64 title Dezaemon 3D!
The translation covers everything except for the label on a single cup of tea. Tutorials, menus, prompts, and the sample games are entirely in English.
Here's a playlist with the ~4 1/2 hours of (slightly out-of-date) tutorial dialog:
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7VAoXQYoWiC6zfJajZvy7vcM_YWj7JiD
-and of course a link to the patch, along with some tools, documentation, and...maybe the longest readme of all time.

Whowasphone404 is responsible for the translation, Zoinkity responsible for mutilating it during insertion.
It's fully supported on actual hardware with and without the 64DD, with or without the 4MB memory expansion. It might even be supported by emulators (sigh). 64DD mode is highly recommended if you're at all capable of using it. Summercarts can hardware-emulate the drive, if you aren't one of those ~4 people that has a working dev one handy.
N64 emulation can be hit-or-miss. If your computer's graphic card can supports vulkan the easiest option is to use the Ares emulator. It displays things properly and supports 64DD disks, which removes basically all of the oddball limitations on how much can be edited in what manner. Otherwise...no blasted clue what to recommend, seems everyone's computers require some different kind of setup. Older one's won't work though, they didn't emulate the correct save type and that's not the kind of thing you can't switch around with settings. _________________ (\_/) Beware

A few other places too, notably 64DD.org. Posting here makes it feel like I haven't been ghosting the boards for years on end ;*)
RHDN is only taking news submissions. If you try to submit anything else you'll eventually get this message:
Quote: | Submissions other than News are permanently closed. |
romhackplaza is a simple rename of romhacking.org, the slightly-more legitimate face of their real focus, cdromance. Distro'ing patches and prepatched binaries without the author's knowledge misses the whole point that protected the creators in the first place. Never associating with them, ever.
Besides that though, their admins were directly responsible for a sort of fire-bucket scam: causing problems with autoclickers, use up the bandwidth, complain how RHDN management is responsible for the problem, then present themselves as a solution. Cute.
Remember this very forum was a spinoff of gscentral.com which suffered a similar fate.
I'll link these snaps of their admin chat logs as evidence of the situation, but forewarning these violate our own content rules.

Not the only ones that have done that of course. You could claim something similar about that series of nazi-themed Mario hacks that led to RHDN eliminating their laissez-faire content policy in the first place.
--edit: sorry, wrote with instead of without.

Yeh pretty gross around
I like kandowontu don't think he's ill will
I thought romhacking accepts patches but you host they're hosted elsewhere
EDIT: Shiit gscentral and bsfree were good then I learned of gamehacking.org one smashing portal of cheats I think has been around way even before them?
So what does RHDN even abbreviate to, romhackingdatanetwork..? _________________

No, the only submissions accepted are news.
You can't add an entry into any other category. No new patches/tools/etc. can be added to the database. It's just an announcement board.
Back from the days when we'd pronounce our punctuation:
RHDN = Rom Hacking Dot Net |
