Greetings my friends i have 2 questions:
1
what are the recommeded ROM settings for the patched ROM?
i know that there is the 1964 emualtor to play this, but some Batocera linux users have been asking me
(for starters i think 8mb is a must i guess)

Instead of using the perfect dark decomp mod route, i was wondering if it would be "faster" to turn the already patched ROM into a windows executable using the static recompilation tool

Static Recomp requires you to have a certain file from the disassembly, so that means Wreck or others would need to port the entirety of GE-X to the decomp for this.

As for ROM settings, I'm not familiar with what batocera offers in terms of N64 Emulation but I imagine copying the PD settings would help.

blast - from the bit of understanding i thought that providing the file from perfect dark decomp and then running the tool using the patched rom would yield something...

Your understanding would be correct for Perfect Dark, GE needed some modifications for it to work properly. Ge-X sadly has modifications everywhere and that makes it wildly different from a regular Pefect Dark so it needs to have its own version of the decomp.

Good luck testing the settings.
