|
|
I'm trying to modify a mission a little and get it to work.
So here is what I've done.
Have directx 9.0c and the C++ framework installed.
Went through the quick start tutorial, and saved a modded version of perfect dark, checked to make sure it was unflipped. All I modded was the appearance of 2 guards and the weapons they were holding.
Now, when I run the modded ROM in project64, I can run every mission except the one I changed the guards in. When I start that mission (level 2, investigation) it hangs.
What could I be doing wrong, or what could still be configured wrong?
Thanks for your help. |

Failure?... And recheck what you did. The level SHOULD load if you did nothing wrong. All you did is change the guards, correct? And press F7 to save. _________________

ohh.. okay i was doing F5 as per the quick tutorial. But now, when I use F7 and then start the modded game, there is no expansion pack and I don't have any single player missions.
Gotta figure that out now.. |

I see in another thread Wreck posted
"If you're using PJ64, make sure you set the Memory to 8mb.
Otherwise, it'll prevent you from being able to play in Hi-Res mode."
But I cannot find where to set the memory.
And I read in the FAQ that you right click on a ROM in the PJ64 main menu to change its settings, yet there is no option for that when I do it. My version is 1.6... maybe I need a different version. |

If youre able to play single missions, it means you have hi res mode enabled. Switching to that 8MB in PJ64 settings basically means you have expansion pak "plugged in" which has that 8MB memory if you didn't have that 8MB selected in PJ64 you couldn't play in hi res mode. |

I can't find where to do that in PJ64... I checked all the options menu.
I was able to play missions at first, but now that I used F7 I can't. It seems I just have to switch the memory. |

Right click ROM in list and select "Edit Game Settings" there you should see options. Or then go to "Options" -> "Settings" and from there to "Advanced" tab theres Default Memory Size option. F7? you mean loading save state? at F7 is default hotkey for that. hmm it might be possible you loaded save state which didn't have expansion pak enabled if thats the case. |

Settings, and enable advanced, and click one of the tabs, and it takes you to the ROM specifications. And there should be a MB drop box there. _________________
