Yes and it is what happens when people do not know how to put the strap on properly.

Probably because there's alot of kids using it, and most parents are too lazy to properly educate their kids with common sense.

Oh, and sorry for not ansering any of your questions wreck, but I dont know the answers to any of them. lol. I hope someone can help. which im sure they can.

I have my console sitting horizontally, so that it's sitting flat. I've read that vertical positioning can burn out your drives faster. Besides, I prefer the way it looks this way. It kind of scares me to think of it falling over with it standing up right. I never move it around while it's running. Infact, it has been in the same place for over a month. Nothing is blocking the air vents, as I made sure there was enough space all around it. None of the other games have had this happen, but I haven't tried any other since. Might as well tell you all what game it is: Halo 2. Funny thing, it's only done this when playing on Normal difficulty. I beat it on Easy, then tried going back through on Normal. The first stage froze up, then it did it again when boarding the Scarab. There's also this odd visualization problem that occurs from time to time, which looks like silouettes in fog. It makes it hard to see the upper portion of the screen. Eventually it passes, but comes back later on in some missions. Could this be because it's an original Xbox game being played on a 360? That might explain some of the rendering issues. Maybe I need to download a patch to correct this, as well as allow other games to play? I can't play my Doom 3 that I bought, so I need to look into that.

When you first placed Halo 2 in the Xbox 360, did it ask you to update your console, because there has been 3 updates so far for that game on the Xbox 360. As long your Xbox 360 does not respond like that with Xbox 360 games, you should be fine.

Just a tip, make sure the power unit it plugged directly in the wall and not in an extension cord. Also, make sure the power unit is ventilated properly, along with the console itself.

p.s. I think you need Xbox Live gold to play Xbox 1 games because you need to download patches before playing.....Do you have Xbox Live Silver, if yes, how did you get Halo 2 to work?

edit: With the gamertag you created on the Xbox 360, try hooking it up online, you will get 1 month free of Xbox Live Gold. There is your opportunity to download demos, patches, updates for your xbox 360 and play games online.

If you do get it online and you have the 1 month of Xbox Live Gold, I'll send you an invite to be on your friends list so if you do end up only having Xbox Live silver again, you could still be online and download everything, chat, send messages, except you won't be able to play online multiplayer.

Of the three original Xbox games that I purchased after Christmas, only one of them won't play. Both Halo and Halo 2 start up without any problems, though the Xbox splash screen kind of flickers once. Doom 3 loads a screen which indicates that it isn't supported by the Xbox 360, but to try going online in the future to look for updates. I believe the free month of Xbox Live is the Silver edition. It came with the 'Holiday Bundle', along with Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter and an Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged gamepack. I also managed to score three other games during the deal for no additional cost. Not a bad way to start out on a new console.

I'll have to check into getting Xbox Live on my computer. Hopefully there are some patches to correct my Halo 2 problems and allow Doom 3 to run. Oddly enough, I was looking more forward to playing that than either of the Halo games.
