Cool, is this still being worked on? It's sad to see so many of these fizzle away with Goldeneye. What are 'interpret ID's'? |

It's basically what the GFX plugin names a single texture in ram (please correct me if I'm wrong). The method has some issues, as some textures can have many interpret IDs, which is very annoying. In some cases, I've 'captured' the interpret ID of a single texture over 40 times, and each time the interpret ID is different. If this texture's replacement is a large image (such as the sky), the texture budget of the GFX plugin will be filled and your emu will crash when trying to load the texture pack. In short, this means I will have to edit all the textures and reduce sizes to lower the budget. It would speed things up if someone were to code a texture matching algorithm to assign the interpret ID automatically (and without blowing the budget on many copies of the same texture).
You can read more details about this here.
Edit: Texture pack is here: http://www.shootersforever.com/forums_message_boards/viewtopic.php?t=5373

I will admit, his texture pack was looking nice, but I don't think he's worked on it in a couple years, probably dropped it for other projects etc over time, but yeah, don't think he's any longer with us, a shame. _________________

Dam, that's a shame.... Anywho just got into this hole texture pack stuff so it's got me using glide64 and in my opinion it makes the game look real nice, but not always smooth.
What setup do you guys run when using glide64 with pj64/1964 |
