Hmm, I didn't know there was more to this.
/Continue?
Well then, awesome artwork, and whether the picture was 'fake' or not, it's REAL now.
Now, we just need a REAL piano cover or synthesized rendition, if you open the midi file with a program called "Notation Player" you can get the full musical notation of it.
It looks likely that could be the real picture for the citadel, because what is a citadel really? It's a sort of fortress in a city for people to refuge in case of war. In the pictures I saw for citadels they looked similar to a church or cathedral, just like that picture from the supposed level briefing, but that picture looks quite similar to the typical black and white level 'screens' for Goldeneye.
I wonder whatever happened to Detstar, some of the sites content is lost to the depths of the intertubes. Lol.
Citadel would have been a great level to include... is there any way it can be finished?!? With new textures.. (instead of the gray textures like something that would be in a citadel)
Hey, maybe it could even have puddles left over from rain (as textures) and all sorts of secrets and easter eggs, maybe the city outside should be included too... _________________ "Goldeneye was just once a game for the N64... a huge success, now we can finally play all our friends and make new friends playing online! Hamienet has some good instrumentals.
Check these out:
http://www.mediafire.com/?jleewntdjz4
http://www.mediafire.com/?guzgymyj1dl
Both are hamienet versions, you can try the midi on the converter to get other versions... I had another 2 I can't find and I have 1 on that Youtube video.
I have a friend who can make a hardstyle version. I have FL studio BUT I can't seem to get the notes right... Lol, even though I know what notes, I'd have to still know... like how to do it in FL Studio's piano roll. _________________ "Goldeneye was just once a game for the N64... a huge success, now we can finally play all our friends and make new friends playing online! If citadel wasn't real, how could there have been clipping for the entire level and multiplayer? It's more than images, there is proof.
Just try out the GS code on N64 or emulator, citadel... it exists in the game's code with pointers to it. _________________ "Goldeneye was just once a game for the N64... a huge success, now we can finally play all our friends and make new friends playing online! Goldeneye Forever!"

That is an old post.. Det's old site was linked there.. even though Det was on his newer site when the citadel was found.. does that mean it was already around by 2001? or is taht just some random generated code or something..
Oh boy.. I'm confused _________________ Who? |

I like that second one.
Anyway, doesn't Perfect Dark have pianos? I'll do a PD rendition sometime - it should work better as I recall there being higher-pitched choir aahs (GoldenEye only had low ones).

Well, actually, there are no setups for it, no text file, and the clipping uses an old format incompatible with the final version of the game. We owe the clipping and multiplayer setups to Zoinkity. Back when that site was made, none of those things existed, just the codes to load individual rooms or to load the entire background in place of cradle. Like you say, though, you could just use the codes, which were available right on the Detstar page, and confirm it for real.

I got to the site through an old Detstar link, and I guess it kept the date even though I was on a newer page. Archive.org will usually find you a page even if an older one doesn't exist. I guess when I clicked into the fake screenshots section, it found that newer page about the real citadel instead of whatever was there originally. About the link, TGS redirected to Detstar pretty much from the time it opened. I guess there were some people who still went to the old url, since you'd just end up on the Detstar GE site anyway. |

Yes, Zoinkity made the clipping, but I'm not quite sure what exactly was lost from Detstar.
1st Instrumentals:
http://www.mediafire.com/?2ortjwlimxx
And now for some reason the hamienet converter isn't working.
I have this strange issue with my router/modem... when it's not in bridge mode sometimes it won't load web pages or it will take a while, sometimes refreshing helps but it's so annoying...
And then in bridge it disconnects every 30 minutes or an hour to 'refresh ip' but it's because there is no Network Access Translation or Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol in bridge. _________________ "Goldeneye was just once a game for the N64... a huge success, now we can finally play all our friends and make new friends playing online! It was perfect! I was thinking of making a compilation of Goldeneye gameplay to this version of The Rain but I never quite got to it.
Bravo! Nicely done. _________________ "Goldeneye was just once a game for the N64... a huge success, now we can finally play all our friends and make new friends playing online! Goldeneye Forever!"

Thank you!
I tried to make it all sound natural with Xenia's theme in the middle of all of it.
Editing wasn't too bad. |
