Yes that's right, I can play the game for almost 10 years, maybe edit some codes to make better ones, and even... Hell... Write a program about it, but I can't create my own gameshark codes.
How do you do it? Where do you go? How do you know where the data is and what to edit in Gamesharks? How do you, for instance, want to edit the size of an enemy in GoldenEye and go about finding the hex for whatever that makes up an enemy size? I just don't get it. |

To my general understanding, you find addresses of what to edit and get your needed information using the gameshark memory editor. Thats as much detail as im going to get, since I have already written my general understanding about this in this forums somewhere. Also, whereever that is, is mrjeffguy's post with a link to a big article about gameshark hacking. |

I can understand that, but there are some things that you wouldn't visually find out in the Memory Editor. For instance, you really couldn't look up something like "ZenemysizeY" or like "XnoclipY". The visual cheats wouldn't be easy to do. |

To be honest, I don't know.
The first time my buddy and I looked at the Memory Editor, I was scared to touch it. I figured that changing a certain value might screw up my game, or maybe even my console. It wasn't until that same friend called me up on the phone and told me the check something out that I felt comfortable browsing through it. Scanning over the addresses of other codes, modifying things that seemed suspicious, randomly changing things here and there. It was all trial and error. I had, and still have, no knowledge of programming. No C+ or HTML or JavaScript, etc. But after all this time, I do have a decent handle on GoldenEye and Perfect Dark.
Can I hack? Sure, but mainly for N64.
Could I teach how to hack? No, not really. |

I mean, the best I've done was used the GameShark Cheat Maker that you can use with GameShark pro and the expansion pack. But it's not really all that good. To see cheats out like "Programmers Debug" is unthinkable to how people got to making that cheat. Some people are so good at hacking when you ask them a basic question they can't answer because they're almost too good to track back down to the basics. |

My friend use to create some "unique" gs codes, he used my gs 2.2 LOL. I myself did not no how to make codes on n64 gs only gameboy gs. He made a classic "black box" multiplayer level, he also added some game elements in odd locations, such as drone guns in the trains bathrooms, and explosive barrels at the bottom of the cradle. Sadly however all these codes are forever lost, for some reason unknown to me while someone stole a certain illegal item from my room while I was at school, they also stole my beloved game shark and a few n64 games. Its a shame to, there were some very humerous codes on there. _________________ .+*"*+..+*"*+..+*"*+..+*"*+..+*"*+..+*"*+.

Actually if you know a place to START it's not that hard. Biggest problem is where the frickin addresses are. Gift for you below:
80051D91 0001 Shrink Enemies
80051D91 FFFF Enlarge Enemies
Just go into memory editor and study how these 2 addresses are changing the values. Play with it and don't worry about messing up your console. It's the shark that will eventually need a bio flashing and Zoinkity can help us out with that when the time comes, considering he is the hack genius along with Subdrag. Generic enemy mods are weird at best. Most are ASM hacks, and if you're really lucky they work on more than one stage.
You can probably do all of one kind of model. That's not so hard. Just grab the values from the global character mod list. If they aren't listed they will be two float values after the pointer values.
Each enemy can be resized individually as well, but to d othat you actually need to know where each one is within the setup file, and dont' get me started with the spawned guys. _________________ (\_/) Beware

Trust me, Listen to Zoinkity, he can get you fixed up right. Actually he loses me frequently on a hack basis. LOL _________________ http://codelegends.proboards.com/ |
