I've just seen it. It's solid, but certainly not action packed. Good moments, few laughs, but more story than action. Bond is more refined and the movie has a more violent tone than any in recent time. It's better that way honestly. I like more gadgets personally. I can't believe I'm the only one here who's seen it?

I thought it was just ok, but they screwed with the formula and I wasn't thrilled with most of the changes. I agree - I LIKE gadgets, and Bond should not ever be stopped by a simple keypad at the airport (had he not connected the phone to code). Also, what was up with M. She was all over the place, and what's up with Bond going to her house...I just want her in MI6, she is weird in the open...speaking of MI6, why wasn't Bond there, I always like when he does...and I want Q/R back. And there were way too many boring sequences, he only gets with one girl, Bond's an idiot with Vesper (well, fine, so it's like the book...). And I lilke Bond when he has partners going about shooting things. Wasn't thrilled myself with it, but thought Craig was good as Bond. Though I'm partial to Brosnan, like his style better.

The end was pretty sweet (last 5 seconds). So high hopes for next one.

I'm thinking the card scene was cool, but drawn out too much. I like the ending and where that was going. I can only hope that it's an indicator of the next bond flick. Please I hope they keep the edge. I noticed some cool guns that I hope are in the game. Sword and the nail gun were nice!

I had a freind who's parents were the same way. He had to leave Zoolander when the part about the tea came on. I dont get why some parents try to shelter their kids. (though, I suppose thats why I'm taking psychology)

Anyway, The new bond was good and all. But for me, Brosnan will always be imbedded in my mind as the "true" James Bond. I grew up on Golden Eye.

definately a solid bond film. the only things that kinda annoyed me were: the lack of gadgets, not enough action, and continuality issues (i think they should have stuck with the original M/Q (lookalikes), not the modern ones). Besides the small issues, it is definately in the top 10 bond films, i really liked it.

That was pretty funny. I was just thinking what was good about this movie. I think it really was wiping the slate clean, and sort of a rebirth of bond. It's almost like the making of a villian in a comic style movie like spiderman. When he wore the tux, you figure that's the introduction of him wearing it. Like the first time, and now becomes his trademark. So long as they stay with this guy for bond, I see them rebuilding the character in a good way. Honestly, many recent bond movies were far to clique and I like seeing some of bond roots.

The top ten bond films? Since there is maybe at most twenty or thirty that isn't saying much, but I'm not a big fan of movie trivia. Wink

I saw it this weekend with my girlfreind and her bro. We went to this old ass movie theater in a town called Ritzville cuz her brother wanted to see his girlfreind. (long ass drive in the Fog) Anyway, definatley a lack of gadgets, but the story line twists put it at the top for me. But i'm kind of a skeptick, so I love more realistic movies. Plus, one of the most gorgeous bond girls in a long time. (Even my girlfreind agreed, after she slugged me)
