Hi, I have noticed some speed guides refer to "warping doors" using the watch detonator. I really don't understand what this means, could anyone explain this to me? |

Yeah I've been playing for 9 years too and I haven't a clue what it means!
I thought maybe it just involved changing to the detonator so you don't have to reload your gun before opening the door? But that doesn't sound like "warping" to me. |

I've think I've seen it at the elite, where they run through the level quickly. It might be placing a remote mine on the door and as you go through you blow the mine to get a momentum for speed. They made sure what you can and can't damage in this game so it isn't too big a deal.
Running isn't even half the battle, maybe a 1/4 to me. _________________ A.K.A. Greatermaxim on youtube.

I've watched the videos I don't think that's what it is, although they do that as well. |

There's a way that you can switch weapons while attempting to open one of the sliding electronic doors, which makes you squeeze through before there's enough space for you to pass through normally. I've only ever gotten it to work two or three times. There's also a way to ascend ladders faster, by turning and strafing at the same time. I don't recall how, but I'm sure there's some tips on the Elite website or message board. _________________

This knowledge is useful in master play, but you don't get points by running from your opponent all the time. _________________ A.K.A. Greatermaxim on youtube.
