You may have looked at the gameshark to pc tutorial for this and have no luck connecting it like I did. Please reply if you have ever tried emulating from a gameshark. You could also transfer the rom to the PC. I wasn't able to do that, but you can download GS 3.3 here
and Goldeneye
here.

You aren't trying to run the game on PC using the gameshark, are you? That simply won't work. Dump it first, and save the binary somewhere on your computer.
The PC connection is used with the GS in order to:
1. dump roms
2. upgrading 3.x gamesharks
3. edit your code list like a normal text document (saves time!)
4. up/downloading binaries from memory
After connecting the cables, turn the game on, select "code generator ON" to activate the com port. Then, when you start the game, you will be able to use PC utilities to do crazy things with the GS.
Only a few features work while the gs is on the menu screen. You can upload/download cheat files, upgrade your GS bios, or download the rom of the current game or gs.
Note:
Win 2000/xp limit how much you can use the serial port. Newer upload programs get around this, but GSCC has only limitted support. An XP machine likely won't have a long enough connection to dump a full cartridge. _________________ (\_/) Beware
