Since Wii is on sale, there are too many new things like former games, new games with remote control (Wii sports), etc. And people like it and it beats (likely) XBox 360 and PS3. |

I don't think Wii could ever replace the classics like SNES, NES, an N64, but its definatley holding its own among the long standing tradition of outbreak consoles to come from Nintendo. Gamecube may not have been the greatest, but Nintendo has always been the leader in console games. _________________ "Inspiration strikes but once.. If you're forgetful, carry a pen." -Me |

It might not be the greatest, but it's still quite good.

Super Mario Sunshine
The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Super Monkey Ball
Mario Kart: Double Dash
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door

And let's not forget, my personal favourite game, when it comes to graphics and style, the remake of Resident Evil. The prequel, RE Zero, was also visually astounding, but the lack of item crates forced you to spend more time carting items around than actually progressing through the story. Also, RE4 was one of the biggest titles on the GameCube. It's probably the first to help rid the idea that Nintendo was strictly a 'kiddie system'. Even look at the Metal Gear Solid remake, The Twin Snakes. It featured far more violence and gore than the original. They had a lot of great releases on the GameCube, and showed that they weren't afraid to branch out from their family friendly status. _________________
