Actually, can't you just use the cuba bg file + clipping, and overwrite another level. Then make a simple setup for it? |

crap! i did that and it loaded the level but the background was nothing but pure blackness (like my cage arena level) and all the trees and objects were surrounding and closed in completely on us. and by us, i mean that player 1 and player 2 spawned in the exact same spot even though i put 2 respawn points!! this is retarded. |

Did you overwrite the bg file and clipping files properly? And make sure your setup was in a valid spot? You must open your replaced level, import the full bg file of cuba, import the clipping, then do the setup file, then save setup file. Otherwise I bet your setup file contains invalid presets. |

I'll be curious to see if you run into the same ghosting problem that anybody else who has attempted this stage (via GS codes) has run into. |

Edit the scale using Tools -> 21990, and make sure you have the right input ROM, then output. |

huh? can u explain more clearly how to edit the level scale? i found a way to make the level bigger by simply sizing it in the visual editor. however, when i do this it does not stay like that. when i save my setup with my newly sized background and close the editor and come back to work on it again, the level is back to it's default size. in other words it did not stay the size i made it. can u give me an exact walkthrough on how to size a level? sorry, im just really confused |

In main menu, Tools -> 21990 Modification
Click Choose ROM and choose the ROM
Click the tab for Stage Options
Choose level
Switch the level scale
Click Write ROM with 21990 Mods |

ok, i changed multiplayer archives bg to cuba in the visual editor by importing cuba's bg file. it made archives bg disappear and cuba came in it's place. i saved my setup and closed the editor and came back to the file to do some more work. however when i came back, instead of being where i left off, (with cuba being the bg for Ump_setuparchZ.bin) archives bg was there instead of cuba's bg. will it not let me edit backgrounds for the setup files??? i saved the setup with a new bg, but when i came back to it, it had the original bg (archives bg) instead of the new, edited bg (cuba). does it refuse to save edited backgrounds, or am i just doing something wrong? i might need a walkthrough on this too. |
