I can't seem to get the Gameshark 3.3 to do what I want it to do. The examples are many...
When I'm playing in single player mode and turn on invincibility I'm not invincible. I can take as many hits from a gun turret or hand gun but if I'm hit with an RCP-90 or an explosion I'm dead. I can also turn paintball mode on and it won't work at all. Neither will unlimited ammo or all weapons. Extra ammo works though...WEIRD!
In multi-player when I turn on the four levels you can't get to Egyptian. Only way to get to it is to turn off everything and turn on Egyptian and then it's the only level you can play. If you choose another level it just defaults back to Egyptian. You have to restart the N64 for it to work.
My real question though is why can't I hook up my 3.3 to my laptop? I've followed the instructions and I'm not sure what's going on. I bought a female 25 pin to usb and d/l that software to edit. I'm not sure if I'm doing it right or not. The walk-thru doesn't say much about it. The 3.3 was just bought a few days ago and it was brand new, factory sealed! Any ideas? I'm a serious newb to this and maybe just need some enlightenment. I want to unlock all these other levels but the thought of sitting here for hours typing them in is not appealing. Neither is the thought that they won't work right once they are in since the other ones are all working right.
Any ideas on any of these things?

| About not being able to hook it up to your computer, does your GS have an LED in it? Does it show a countdown in the little "window" on the GS when you turn your N64 on or does it just stay blank? If it doesn't, you've got one of the new models that doesn't allow you to hook it up. |

| How do I know if it has an LED in it or not? I don't see a countdown on the window. Screenshots would probably help of what this looks like but I don't see any sort of countdown anywhere... |

| It would be very obvious if there was one, there are numbers like a digital clock in that window that count down when you turn your N64 on. |

I couldn't find the 3.2  Anyone have any ideas or does their 3.3 do similar things? Any help would be apprecaited.

| I know my GS won't sync with my laptop but why when I turn on GS codes for Goldeneye do some not work? I can turn on all weapons and unlimted ammo and neither work. But extra ammo and invisible bond do work. And what's the diff between the Bond Invisible and Invisible mode? Aren't they the same? I'm a little confused at the GS cheat menu. |

| They are the codes that were preloaded on the Gameshark. When you select a code on the GS do you then have to go to the cheat options in the game and select it there also? I was under the impression that you could select the codes in the GS and they work in the game w/o turning on the cheats in the game... |

| I just bought a 3.2 on ebay! I was super lucky to have found it! Hopefully this one will sync with my computer! |
