GameShark 3.3 emulation ?

So, yup. I've been following the Donkey Kong 64 101% speedrun. 9 whopping hours.

I am so far and near to the end, and then there's the Beaver Bother bonus games. I need GameShark.

When I check gscentral, it says "Zelda Keycode required". Then I did some research. I had no idea until now, the game developers implemented a sort of protection from cheat devices.

Anyways, DK64 is only gamesharkable with version 3.0 or higher I believe.

Aren't Nintendo 64 3.0+ GameSharks rare/costly, too ? I HAD an 0LD (now obsolete) GameShark device, and I'm afraid they're hazardous to your N64, too

I was hoping to just beat the RIDICUL0US Beaver Bother bonus games, and move on legitimately.

Well your in luck someone know how this works.

Listen Gamesharks don't work like Nintendo 64 game.

It uses files that crashes the N64 Emulator.

I ones made Gameshark 3.3 rom and try it out in the emulator all it dus is freezes on you.

If you like to try a gameshark codes or not use some other emulator like 1964.

The best emulator i seen till this date. But if you feel like using something else try Project64. Great for gameshark codes.

Sadly Mupen64 don't have a gameshark like tool in its files.

So you must use the other emulators.

If im wrong on anything please do tell.

As I said earlier, in case you may have missed it:

Donkey Kong 64, and plenty more titles were cheat device protected. Needs some unlocking code to the device.

PJ64 1.6 does not cut it with built-in cheats whatsoever. So is the current 1964 able to bypass the cheat protection ?

Thats odd every emulator that uses the cheat code system shud work with all games with lock pertect or not.

I never had this problem befor.

But if you cant get Project 64 not work with it. You can try PRoject 64 K.

It also uses a cheet code system and it has online play to.

But if none of them work give 1964 a try. Its to me by far the best emulator out there. Beside the net code mupen 64 wins in that. =P

Anyway give them both a try and hope it works.

By the way have you ever check what verson of the game rom your useing?

It may not be blocking it but it may be the wrong verson number.

Let me explane to you.

Let say you got Super Mario 64. They made a 1.0v and a 1.1v of that game.

In 1.0v it will let you use all the gameshark codes.

In 1.1v it will let you use most of the gameshark codes.

So maybe donky kong 64 has more then one verson.

So i wud start checking on that to.

Donkey Kong 64 I just have (U) [!]. It's too late to try another version, my save state is way too far.

I'm trying to use the "Become Chunky Kong" or something so I can just win Beaver Bother with ease. I add it in, I checkmark it, but it's not working..damn it
