Swap your very own objects!
You can swap almost every model out with almost every other model.
Below is given the code for the mod and the *default* value for it.
So, for instance, if you want to make a grenade launcher spit out fuzzy hats, use the addresses for the the grenade launcher and the values for the hats.
If all else fails, look at the motorcycle launcher ;*)

These are parts of pointers and redirect the object to be loaded to a different one.
The size mod follows these addresses, but very rarely do you need to change it, and it is something of a bother to look up all the values. Those are floats, so only the first two bytes really matter. Heck, most are 1.

There are two other tables as well not listed here that affect the body/head list and the 1st person weapon models

That's just an awesome sight, no doubt about it. If only you could ride the damned thing yourself. Still, nothing beats watching a rocket propelled motorcycle crashing into an enemy eighty feet away. Wink

k, so just take the third line from the motor. launcher and make it the third line for the other codes? or am i stupid.

The third line modifies the sound made by the Rocket Launcher.
You don't need to use it, unless you want to. It is simply there for fun and is in no way necessary to include with any other codes you may make using the base modifiers.

I havent used it quite yet, but I believe it works like this:
Forget about the third line thing. Smile

Look down for the thing you want to modify, copy paste both codes somewhere. Then look for the thing you want to change it to, just look at the end values of it, and change your (thing you want to modify) end values to those end values, and walah! By end values I mean the last four digits.

This makes sense with a tiny lesson on how GS codes work:

so if i wanted to change landmines to motorbikes, i put the codes from landmines and replace the end values with the end values of the motorbike?
sorry, i am a little slow. also, i am on a psp. i havent bought a wireless pci card yet.

You've got it.
Grab the land mines model data, then switch out the values with that of the motorcycles. Here's something for everyone to keep in mind when using these base codes.

Think of the model that you want to modify like this...

139 Land Mine

You have the addesses, but now you need the values to go along with them. When you decide on something that you like, picture it looking this way...

11F Motorcycle

Take the data and stick them together, eliminating those temporary X's. Smile

I tried to make my pp7 silenced shoot the frigate (lol WTF!) but it doesn't work, if an object is to big will it just not be able to be used as bullets.

Its allright i just realised it was a pp7 silenceR and i also realised that guns like that don't have a moddle for the bullets anyway.

Okay, just a slight little note:
1: that third line code changed the sound effect when you fire a rocket. It's just so friggin funny

2: not everything can be turned into everything. A tank uses a very special object type that crashes everything that isn't a tank. Autoguns and doors probably won't work right either for that same reason. ICBM's, trees, or the engine from the Frigate are really bloody large and will crash the game if they extend past the stage bounds.

That said, there's a lot of crap that *does* work. You can change gas canisters into the boat and the like. Trial and error, trial and error.

You should be able to shoot the unused boat from the Dam mission out of your Grenade Launcher. The Frigate isn't actually an image model, so you can't change anything to look like it. But considering how the GL's ammo explodes on contact, you might want to modify the Remote Mine model into something else. Nothing like detonating a jeep with your wrist watch. Razz

They do bounce off of walls and other surfaces, but explode upon making impact with the ground. Atleast a Remote Mine will not detonate unless you choose it to. That way, you can plant it almost anywhere and be able to check out the new model up close and personal.
