Finally, the reason I bought my 360 is upon us. I had it pre ordered for months, but I was only able to make it up to get it on Friday. Subsequently, I beat the game Saturday night.
The story line hasn't improved much. Still taking really odd turns and spending the entire game fighting for an "artifact" which you never really even find out much about. Ending was....alright. I won't leave any spoilers, so you can go and be semi-dissapointed on your own. But of course, campaign mode isn't the reason we all love the game.
The revolutionary Multiplayer gameplay from Halo 2 is back, in HD. (luckily, I have an 42" HDTV to kick halo ass on) Gameplay feels much like Halo 2 with a few new elements that don't take long to master. Even the third grenade, and the new launch pods feel like second nature within minuits.
New Forge mode is kind of odd to start out, but can be pretty fun to mess around with when its just you and some buddies. (especially, spawning a tank on someones head)
As for the armor variants, I havn't unlocked many. I've never been great with finding skulls (mostly because I blaze through), and its still too early for people to have posted their locations. And those that do know, are keeping their lips sealed for the most part. Only thing that sucks for me is that alot of the armor prerequisites require online play. So my 360 is gonna be stationed at my freinds house for the next 3 month while we play out the remainder of his Gold Card membership and try to earn all the armor types we can. (my guy looks tight, btw)
Bottom Line: If you don't have a 360, go buy one and pick up your copy of Halo 3. You won't regret it.
And to all the Wii enthusiasts- Renounce your Wii Faith, We all fell in love with the thought of GE on Wii, but they still havn't delivered. 360 might have caught a bad rep, but Halo is worth risking the red rings, trust me on this one. _________________ "Inspiration strikes but once.. I'm about to get my 360!! I bought a new PC recently and that pushed back my 360 purchase unfortunately. |
