Looks good, but I have a question for all of the master hackers.
You can create levels in 3DS and export them.
But could you get the levels (Dam, ect) and import them into 3DS to do stuff to them? _________________ Missions:

Yes, but not too easily. You can try exporting rooms individually, editing, and then using the exportbgfile, editing the text file, and working it. It's tough to do, but it can work (see BMW's work). |

How many rooms does Dam have, and how would you export them? Is there a file in GoldenEditor that I could import into 3ds? |

The easiest way to import rooms from another level is to do the following:
-Open up the level you want rooms from
-Switch mode to modify room positions - write down the room numbers of each room you want to export
-Export room positions to text file
-Open up the text file and go through and delete out all the rooms you don't want. Each room consists of one line of text and is in sequential order (hex) - but ignore the first line. Line 2 is room 1, line 3 is room 2.....line 10 is room 9, line 11 is room A, line 16 is room F, line 17 is room 10, etc
-Do the same thing for another level you want rooms from.
-Cut and paste all the data from one text file and append it at the end of your other text file
-In the editor, export bg file using your new multi-level-room text file.
Now this only covers the bg data. Clipping gets much more complicated and is what for now has haulted progress in my depot/train combo level. |

How many rooms are in Dam anyway? I wanted to import the entire level into 3DS. |

If you want to import the entire level, choose File -> Export FUll Level to .obj. However bear in mind you can't reimport it too easily. Actually I may have recently set that up to be possible, but import might take a long, long time and you need to know what you're doing texture-wise. |

well not only that, there are some textures in the goldeneye rom file that are bigger then 32 x 32, so could I use that or not? Anyways i'll start again on this. I hope to get it done before the end of september, texturing is not my forte. _________________ -moonraker |

Well if they're in the ROM you can use them, but don't make your own bigger than 32 x 32. Oh, and only use color images, no black and white. |

Did you figure out how to texture? I'm looking forward to making the level. You also need to make me a floorplan (only floor, everything else cut away) |

Still trying, but yeah the floor plan is no problem, I can easily erase everything else. _________________ -moonraker |

You said to go to File, Export FULL, well, which program would I do that with?
On goldeneditor, I don't see no export feature or anything. _________________ Missions:

You have to be in room positions mode. Then right click on something. |

ok, I started putting some textures on, they look kind of crummy, so I will upload a picture to make sure the quality is up to goldeneye standards. _________________ -moonraker |
