It happened. It died, its dead.
Thank god I got the three year extended warranty, but it kinda pisses me off that it died when it's less than a year old. I can almost gaurentee that it was a roomate not being careful that caused its' demise, but I was states away so It's had to find out what really happened. Alls I know is, it could be months before its back and running again.
Let this be a lesson to you, hide all your $400 equipment from your peeps. _________________ "Inspiration strikes but once.. If you're forgetful, carry a pen." -Me |

Damn, that really sucks. That's one of the reasons why I seldom lend anything out to people, unless I know that they're as finicky as I am when it comes to the condition of their belongings. I lent out a copy of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis for the PS once before to a neighbor. When I finally got it back, the whole thing was covered in surface scratches. The thing was near mint in my hands. It's sickening how people have such little respect for other owners property.
It's was definitely a good call getting that extended warranty.
How does that one work, by the way? _________________

The three year warrenty? I bought it at CarToys, and they gave it to me when I bought it since it was re-furbished. It was only $30 off retail with no real explination of what exactly had gone wrong with it. But when they threw in the warrenty (a $100 value i'm pretty sure) I couldn't pass it up.
When I got back from vacation, I took it up there and they faxed a claim sheet to the warrenty company. Right now I'm just waiting to hear back on wheather they'll replace it or fix it. _________________ "Inspiration strikes but once.. If you're forgetful, carry a pen." -Me |

^ Well, there's your problem right there. It was refurbished. Knowing that an unusually high number of new Xbox 360's have had problems, why the hell would you get a re-built one? _________________ Pure hand-drawn goodness. |

"Free three year warrent."
Premium System X-Box, plus 3 year warrenty usually equals around $550 bucks. Although microsoft ended up extending people's warrenty's anyway.
Oh well though, its all said and done. The freind who had my x-box had a ps2 that is stationed permanently at my house now.
I won't miss it much, I havn't really had time for hardcore gaming lately anyway. I'll prolly end up selling it when it gets back. _________________ "Inspiration strikes but once.. If you're forgetful, carry a pen." -Me |
