Hey I bought couple video games on N64 yesterday and they were Quake and Quake II. I already played Quake it seems pretty hard to beat but I have not played Quake II yet. Have any of you played these games? If so post back if they were good or not.

Quake II was boring and I got tired of it pretty quick, I think I sold it. Never played the N64 version of Quake, I liked the PC version though.

I played hours and hours of both on the PC. N64, almost none. It's a PC game really. I suppose I should try it, it's prob. decent on console.

I know, the Quake series should be more of a consol game. Too bad Quake 3 Arena is not on a consol though. But Quake 4 (which I heard was pretty good) is on the Xbox 360 but I don't have a 360 yet!!

Just to put short and simple lets say that Quake is more of a Doom format setup (if you played Doom then you would know what I am talking about). Quake II format is completey different from Quake because I gues id software wanted to make it a less violent game, and more of a future realistic Alien Shoot em up, while Quake was more of a hellish setting of Aliens trying to kill you. In other words I believe that Quake II was more of a introduction of the Alien race known as the Strogg to the further known of the Quake series known today.

Quake 1 was known for its rocket launchers and Capture the Flag. Quake 2 was pretty much the epitome of online gaming, in my opinion.

Yea I am going to probably stop playing Quake for a while because when I played Goldeneye last night I was really not playing that good because Goldeneye is more of a slow animation game while Quake is very fast animation game. When I played Goldeneye I thought my N64 controller was broken but it was just that Goldeneye was a little bit slower than Quake. I ended up beating my warm up level(Cradel 00Agent) before I do anything else and then I ended up later beating Aztec on 00Agent.

I just find it strange to hear N64 titles being refered to as "old classic games". The system isn't really that old, is it? When I read the name of the thread, I was picturing some Atari or NES games.

I suppose it is a few generations back, but it still has one hell of a revolutionary library, which can easily compete with today's consoles.

I played the Quake 1 with my N64, we spend few night with that with my friends, my opinion:

1. Nice multiplayer maps
2. Frantic action.
3. Boring singleplayer.
4. Sad it can play only 2 players at time.

Solution:
Not 4 player action, so: NO GOOD.

Very Happy

Didn't it just turn Ten? Almost 11 aint it? Now, a decade sounds old. But to think of 1996 as a decade ago is weird (hence, old) is weird. lol. I miss the 90's. Smile ....kinda.

Seriously, why the hell does everyone think N64 is "old"? I still play it all the time, and its games are way better than most games on newer consoles. I'd never give it up!

Well I guess I have to apoligize here...lol! I really did not mean to call the N64 Consol that old. Yea I just got done playing some really hard levels on Quake, sounds like the storyline is getting even better and better as the game goes on.
